Volkswagen Financial Services launch Europe-wide electromobility program "Electrification-as-a-Service" for fleet customers

Everything from a single source: from vehicle procurement to charging infrastructure

High quality due to selected cooperation partners

Modular principle with five modules for individual fleet requirements

Braunschweig, 30 June 2022. Volkswagen Financial Services have launched their Europe-wide electric mobility program "Electrification-as-a-Service" (EaaS). The aim is to support the electrification of large, commercially used vehicle fleets. With EaaS, customers benefit from a uniform range of consulting and implementation services from a single source – across national borders. The all-round service is made possible by close cooperation with carefully selected cooperation partners. As a result, fleet managers receive a modular system of coordinated services – covering the range from fleet analysis and vehicle selection, through to tailor-made financing and leasing offers, and right up to the charging infrastructure.

"For many of our fleet customers, converting their fleet to electric vehicles is a complex task," said Sven Kunath, Senior Vice President Fleet at Volkswagen Financial Services. He added: "With EaaS, we not only support fleet managers in achieving their sustainability goals, we also support the Volkswagen Group brands in the market ramp-up of e-mobility."

EaaS is based on a classic modular principle. Depending on their individual fleet needs, fleet customers can choose the combination of services they require for e-mobility from five different modules. These cover the following areas:

Vehicle procurement (e.g. full-service leasing)

Fleet strategy (e.g. e-car policy, decarbonization, total cost of ownership)

Fleet operations (e.g. charging provider, charging infrastructure, staff training)

Technology (e.g. charge management, renewable energies, electricity storage)

Digitalization (e.g. reporting, adaptation of IT systems)

Close collaboration with selected cooperation partners ensures a uniformly high level of quality. The company MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH (Porsche Consulting) is just one of the experts available for consulting and IT services. Partners in the field of charging infrastructure and renewable energies include Elli, a Volkswagen Group company and provider of energy and charging solutions, and the consultancy Intelligent Energy System Services (IE2S). All matters relating to vehicle procurement and full-service leasing are handled by Volkswagen Financial Services together with Volkswagen Group Fleet International.

The services are directed at fleet customers of the Volkswagen Group and the offer will be successively extended to further markets such as France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, the UK and the Netherlands.
