Leadership change at Volkswagen Financial Services AG:
Anthony Bandmann takes over as CEO
Braunschweig, December 1, 2025. There will be a change at the helm of Europe's largest automotive financial services provider, Volkswagen Financial Services AG (VWFS). Effective January 1, 2026, Anthony Bandmann, who has served as the Management Board Member responsible for Sales and Marketing at VWFS since October 2021, will take over as Chairman of the Board of Management from Dr. Christian Dahlheim. Dr. Dahlheim will become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pon Holdings, the largest mobility company in the Netherlands with around 10,000 employees worldwide. Information about Anthony Bandmann's successor will be provided in due course.

Anthony Bandmann can look back on an impressive career within the Volkswagen Group. The 53-year-old business graduate first came to Braunschweig in 2012 to take up the post of Chairman of the Management Board at Volkswagen Bank GmbH. In addition to this function, he also served as Managing Director of Volkswagen Versicherungsdienst. From September 2017 to June 2019, Bandmann was CEO of Volkswagen Leasing GmbH before becoming the President and CEO of VW Credit, Inc. (VCI) in the USA for two years. In October 2021, Bandmann joined the Board of Management of VWFS AG as Head of Sales and Marketing. He holds U.S. citizenship, is married, and has a son and a daughter.
Dr. Christian Dahlheim started his career at Volkswagen as Head of Corporate Development at Volkswagen Financial Services. In 2012, he moved to VW Credit, Inc. in the USA as Chief Financial Officer. He was then appointed President and CEO of that company in 2014. From January 2016 to September 2018, Dahlheim served as Management Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Volkswagen Financial Services AG. In October 2018, he took over as Head of Sales & After Sales for the Volkswagen Group before returning to Volkswagen Financial Services in Braunschweig as Chairman of the Board of Management in February 2022. Dr. Christian Dahlheim will assume the position of CEO of Pon Holdings, a multinational family-owned conglomerate based in the Netherlands employing 10,000 people in 32 markets across six continents.
As of January 1, 2026, the Board of Management of Volkswagen Financial Services AG will comprise the following members:
Anthony Bandmann (Chairman of the Board of Management), Dr. Ingrun-Ulla Bartölke (Finance and Procurement), Dr. Alena Kretzberg (IT and Digital), and Christian Löbke (Risk Management). The new Board of Management member responsible for Sales and Marketing will be announced shortly. Arne Puls is responsible for Human Resources and Organization as Chief Representative.
