Important source of earnings:
attractively marketing young used vehicles

The expansion of the used car business is an important strategic growth area for Volkswagen Financial Services. To achieve this goal, Volkswagen Financial Services' Polish subsidiary is taking a completely new approach. It recently opened the first used car showroom under the brand name VW FS STORE in Warsaw.
 

The showroom offer includes young used cars of the brands Volkswagen, Audi, ŠKODA, SEAT and Porsche. The customer has the benefit of being able to choose from carefully inspected, i.e. tested and approved, motor vehicles at attractive credit and leasing rates, including a one-year warranty. The idea of marketing high-quality young used cars under a trade name of its own was developed in Poland by our international subsidiary there. This is the first showroom of its kind in the world within Volkswagen Financial Services.

"Poles love cars and they frequently opt for used cars from the Volkswagen Group. At the VW FS STORE, we offer our customers reliable, quality-tested lease returns," says Mikołaj Woźniak, CEO of Volkswagen Financial Services Polska. He explains: "We have been supporting and promoting the Volkswagen Group's dealer network from the very beginning because our dealers are important partners in building long-term customer relationships. And our overriding goal is to improve and extend these long-term customer relationships. And we can do this by offering customers the Group's complete range of products and services." The newly opened showroom complements the range of services aimed at customers in Poland within the Volkswagen Group's used car programs. As Woźniak points out, the "pioneer showroom" offers vehicles that have not been purchased by the dealership network and were previously offered on the market by independent dealers.

In an elegant yet informal atmosphere, the customer currently encounters around one hundred cars in the VW FS STORE and the adjacent parking garage at the address ul. Łopuszańska 36 in Warsaw. There is a large assortment to discover, ranging from small cars to family wagons and luxury SUVs. Online, the used car dealership is going to sell four hundred vehicles to choose from. The website www.store.vwfs.pl is clearly laid out and easy to use. Each car can be viewed inside and out in a 360° mode, and details can be zoomed in on. The complete information about a vehicle and the financial terms available are immediately accessible, and a sales consultant is specified for the customer to contact.

And what if the customer can't find the right vehicle? "That's no problem," says Jakub Rosłon, Manager of the VW FS STORE in Warsaw. "Our consultants look for the appropriate car among the Volkswagen Group dealerships. We want customers to feel really comfortable in our store and happily spend as much time as they need here." In addition to obvious amenities like a cafeteria, there is also a children's play area and a separate lounge with a big screen and game console. "That's all there to keep the children and teenagers busy, so that their parents have the time and peace of mind to choose a car at their leisure," as Rosłon describes the facilities. Everything is taken care of – right up to the handover of the vehicle. According to studies, that's a special moment for any customer buying a car: "Taking hold of the car keys and driving off from the showroom in your dream car. For many people that's a joyful moment that should be fittingly celebrated. With us, there's a special location in the showroom where the handover takes place, with background music and in a festive atmosphere."
